For first time registration, click the sign up link to the right towards the bottom of the screen.

If you have previously registered for an account, enter your email address and password and click the blue login button.  

If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password link below the blue login button

Please note:  By filing an appeal (protest) online, you are agreeing that all future communications pertaining to the appeal , such as Notice of Hearing, will be delivered into the taxpayer portal, with email notifications sent when new documents are available.  If you would like to receive written communication through the U.S. Postal Service, please submit your protest on a paper protest form. 

To opt into electronic communication after registration, open your taxpayer account in the portal, go to the communication tab, and then click on the Sign up Here link as indicated for receiving electronic communication.  This allows you to receive a Notice of Appraised Value electronically, rather than by U.S. Mail. Complete the form online and for the signature line, type in your name.*

To file a (protest) appeal after registration:  the first screen that comes up is the property listing screen.  Look for the column with the heading "online appeals" and click the view/file option to create a protest for your property.  You will have the option to file a protest for any or all properties in your name. 

The Taxpayer Online Portal allows you to seamlessly access your property details, opt into electronic communication with your appraisal district, review important documents, and manage applications—all from a centralized and convenient platform. 

*Tax Code Section 1.085(a-1) requires a tax official to deliver communications to a property owner or the property owner’s designated representative electronically if requested using this form. The election remains in effect until rescinded, in writing, by the property owner or the designated representative.
